TOPIC: Pink Patch Project donation presentation to WomenCARE

The Capitola Police Officers’ Association (CPOA) is pleased to announce we presented WomenCARE with a check for $13000.00, which includes proceeds from Pink Patch sales, generous donations from local businesses, the Capitola Public Safety & Community Service Foundation, the City of Capitola, and donations from community members during the month of October. The Pink Patch Project is part of a public awareness campaign designed to bring attention to the fight against breast cancer. The CPOA partnered with WomenCARE, a local charitable organization that provides emotional and financial support to individuals fighting cancer in Capitola and all Santa Cruz County.

Chief Terry McManus and members of the CPOA presented the check to WomenCARE representatives on Thursday, November 9, 2017, at 7:00 PM at the Capitola City Council Meeting. The CPOA would like to thank the City of Capitola, our community, and local businesses for their support and generous donations that made this project a success.

Capitola Police Pink Patches are still available for purchase at the Capitola Police Department lobby M-F from 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM or online at www.capitolapoa.com for $10.00.
